Dr. Elizabeth Skjoldal has been Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, Trinity International University since 1994. Prior to that, she was the supervising psychologist at the University of Miami’s Pain and Rehabilitation Center in the Department Neurosurgery. She has also been in private practice as a psychologist at Christian Counseling Ministry in Miami and Sheridan House Counseling Center in Broward County.

Dr. Mecias-Murphy has been an adjunct professor at Trinity International University since 2006, and was the Internship Coordinator for students in the Master of Arts Counseling Psychology, Trinity International University for the 2007-2008 academic school year. Prior to that, she was the Director of Counseling Services at Dade Christian School for many years.

Since July 2000, Yeni has been a counselor at Westminster Christian School working with high school students and their families. She helps them attain academic excellence, as well as spiritual and personal growth. While in graduate school, Yeni worked as a Social Worker at Florida Baptist Children's Homes. She worked with children and families in Residential Care, Independent Living and Foster Care.

Sonya has worked in the non-profit social services arena for the past decade, primarily in the areas of prevention, early intervention, and residential substance abuse and mental health treatment with a focus on co-occurring disorders. Sonya is certified in various nationally recognized, CSAP/SAMHSA approved addictions prevention models. Sonya is the Executive Director of a faith-based agency specializing in community-based psychoeducational programs. She is also an adjunct professor at Trinity International University.

Colleen Webb, M.A.

Colleen Webb is an adjunct professor at Trinity International University and has worked at Women In Distress in Broward County, counseling survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Her counseling areas of interest include: depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, and addictions. She designed and operates an art therapy group utilizing various art and creative writing techniques in her counseling. She is also the owner, certified life coach, and motivational speaker behind Life Coaching for Purpose, LLC.

Carmine Vidana, M.A.

Carmine has most recently worked at M.U.J.E.R. in Homestead, Florida, counseling survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. While there, she also led adult and children's psycho-educational therapy groups. Prior to that, she facilitated the care of adolescents with behavioral problems as a case manager for a leading behavioral services company. She has served as a lay counselor at her church for over five years, where she has demonstrated a passion for counseling individuals and couples. During this time, Carmine has managed her own medical transcription business.

JoAnn has provided individual therapy to children, adolescents, and families. She has worked in Juvenile Detention Centers and helped conduct group counseling, treatment and prevention plans to adolescents in crisis. She has training in play therapy as well as sexual and substance abuse. JoAnn worked in a classroom setting for seven years as an elementary teacher as well.

Vania has experience in private practice in a community setting providing couples' and family counseling, individual, substance abuse counseling, and group counseling in parenting issues. She is an Active Parenting Facilitator and has experience working with children and adolescents in play therapy dealing with crisis, adjustment and clinical issues, group and individual intervention, prevention and psycho-educational programs. In addition she is a school counselor working with children, adolescents, families and staff providing intervention and academic counseling.

Miriam Rivas, M.A.

Miriam is a licensed mental health counselor who most recently worked at the Village South. Miriam worked at the Village for approximately 7 years. She started as a graduate intern for the Village's Girls Adolescent treatment Program (GATP). Upon the completion of her graduate program she was hired as a therapist for the Village's Families in Transition (FIT) program. Miriam later transferred to the Village Children's Program to work as a child therapist. Miriam has experience providing individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She is also experienced in providing group therapy, couples counseling and family counseling. She has training and experience in substance abuse and play therapy.
